The wooden door opened with a loud creak.

Inside, there were cobwebs in every corner, with shelves nailed to the wall and various tools lying around. Lily picked up a rusty scythe leaning against the wall and studied it.

Fox grabbed a booklet off the floor. “Huh. Hey, this is like a manual or something. Check it out, apparently this place used to be the old Gravewood keeper’s shed. I guess it hasn’t been used in a long while though.”

“Hm, I wonder why… Actually, what does a Gravewood keeper even do?”

Fox squinted to read the small text in the manual. “Uh.. here it lists responsibilities, like getting rid of weeds and uh, keeping trespassers from entering the forest.”

“Oh. Oops.”

“Oops. Hey, where’s Willow? Actually, where’s Azrael too? Isn’t he still waiting for you at home?”

“Willow said she wanted to sit outside for a bit. As for Azrael, he’ll be fine, my dad’s there.”

“That kid is weird. Have you noticed he never blinks?”

“Don’t be rude! I’m gonna go check on Willow.”
